Cosy, warm pub for winter with a friendly landlord.

Does pub food (although we didn't get to try) and looks like a good place to visit around Xmas. An obvious beer drinkers haven.

The Beers available this visit were; Houston - Jock Frost, RCH - Steaming Santa and Stanway - Lords-a-leaping although it seemed to have stocked quite a few seasonal specials during December such as; York Brewery - Nippy Nights; Hop Back Brewery - Elf & Hoppiness; Pheonix Brewing - Christmas Kiss; Hambleton Ales - Sleigh Ride; Beartown Brewery - Santa's Claws.

Note: Christmas and New Years Eve may require reservation or ticket.This pub was last visited on Sunday 31^st December 2006 by Rich And Mich
