The Pubnight Destination Digraph for this pub is HL

Once a very popular destination for staff from the nearby GCHQ site this small pub has recently been refurbished and "re-branded" (always a worrying sign) as "the hewlett" and has "food drink living" as a tag line In an odd turn of events the refurbishment actually reduced the capacity of the pub by removing some of the bench style seating and introducing bigger chairs.

The refurbishment has made the pub much lighter and modern. The bar has two real ale pumps - both of which were in use in May 2006

One the last visit in October 2006 only one pump was in use, serving a nice pint of Jouster. Unfortunately they called time at 10:30, which gave Nick a bit of nostalgia for 1980s Leeds but was otherwise not a very popular decision.

This is Steve's local.. well the Beehive Inn is closer but it doesn't have any beer!

This pub was last visited on Tuesday 3rd April 2007 by Nick, Steve, Richard and Paul
When last visited the pub was serving : and Jouster from the following breweries : Goffs
