Lying in the bath earlier this week, I realise we ought to add the spirogenese club. I'm glad you had the same idea, apart from the spelling!
Web searching does suggest sporogenes, but I'm pretty sure there is a spyrosomething (apart from -gira, of course).
Perhaps we should check with Jon?
